Education:
The Allen Independent School District has 15 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 1 freshman center, 1 alternate school, and 1 high school (Allen High School). Allen ISD serves almost all of Allen.
Small portions of the Allen city limits extend into Lovejoy, McKinney, and Plano ISDs. In the fall of 2006, new 9th grade high school students in the Lovejoy ISD boundaries began attending the newly opened Lovejoy High School. A new grade level is to be added each subsequent school year, making the school a full 4-year high school in the 2009-10 school year. Existing Allen High School (Classes 2008 and 2009) students within the Lovejoy ISD boundaries continue to attend Allen High School.

With the Allen Premium Outlet Mall, located west off US 75 and Stacy Rd, and The Villages of Allen and Fairview, located east of US 75 and Stacy Rd, shoppers have access to hundreds of stores from discount to high-end shopping, along with a great selection of restuarants for enjoyable dining. There is even a dog park located in The Villages of Allen where you and your four-legged friend can spend time together.
Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm, located west of US 75 and Bethany Rd, offers shopping at eclectic botique shops in an open-aired mall setting. Fine dining establishments are located here for the shoppers' enjoyment, some with patio seating.
The Edge @ Allen Station Park which is free to the public and allows people to go and ride skateboards and bikes to practice stunts and provide entertainment for all ages. This is free to the public and is open 8am till 11pm.
Celebration Park located at 701 Angel Parkway (Malone Drive and Angel Parkway) Amenities include: 15 soccer fields with one large lighted field, two 300-foot baseball fields, soccer pavilion with restroom and conecession areas, large multi-sport court, kidMania playground and spray ground complex, horseshoe and washer courts, picnic amenities, ornamental lake with fountains, lakeside pavilion for large gatherings and outdoor performances, and hike and bike trail.
Allen Senior Center located at 105 S. Anna. If you like to play cards, dominoes, line dance, socialize or just eat lunch with friends, then the Allen Senior Center is for you.
